Hello everyone. This timeline was inspired by my multiple play throughs of Kaissereich for HOI4. This is my take on a cold war scenario that occurs after the end of the 2nd weltkrieg. This time has been bouncing around in my head and has had many revisions as the mod has over the years. So enjoy
========================
Cold winter winds. Below the city was cloaked in oncoming winter and fog. Strands of the twisting air reached as far as the hilltop and caused his medals to rattle against his coat.
So this was Berlin.
Pytor shaded his eyes. This was Berlin NOW. He could recall the tales still told of former glories and the glittering palaces commanding an empire which were now only fading images in dusty books.
The flag wagged fitfully and looked ragged in the blast. Many fine houses once stood, now nothing more than memories.
The Vozhd counted himself an immortal, but all things were passing away like the snow retreating around his boots.
So he would continue his vigil. Not only on the city but the changing world beyond this place of cold and ghosts, some spilling from his lips with every breath, some etched into the walls. Heroes who had been or had not: both enshrined and worshiped like gods.
Not exceeded. Hearts too timid now. The world was passing the once mighty by.
He left his aerie and traveled to the center of the city. Peering eyes watched in wonder as The Black Baron made his rounds. He could practically feel the blood of his nation pulse beneath his tread, lost below piled stones and ashes and stones again.
Then a flicker caught his interest. He turned in place, hand slipping imperceptibly to the saber at his belt. He witnessed a scene that he would never forget...
All the World’s a Stage (Part one)
Germany Under Occupation circa 1946. Territories such as Alsace-Lorraine and East Prussia where annexed by either the Commune of France or by Russia
The once great Kaiserreich was now laid to waste, It's homeland burned and it's vast colonial empire was now being divided and conquered by opportunist regional powers or calming their independence. But at least peace has returned to the world, At least for the time being. Of course it was easy to see that the alliance between both the international and Russia was not to last. Boris Savinkov's Ideology of Shashkism[1] would always be at odds with Syndicalism, thus this partnership was doomed the moment Berlin fell
Red Guardsmen from the SRA meeting up with their Russian Counterparts on the outskirts of Berlin. the end of World War II saw soldiers from east and west socializing with each other.
Grand Protector Oswald Mosley
the Internationale has changed during the road to war. In the Union of Britain the Trade Union Council fell under the control of Mosley and his Maximists faction. in the just the span of 10 years, the country has transformed into something unrecognizable, Police patrol the streets nearly 24/7, Posters of Mosley deck every high rise building in every major city in England, and Blimps fly above blaring propaganda. In many ways Mosley is like the British napoleon, a demagogue who sized the apparatus of state and transfigured the revolution into his own image
Chairman Benoît Frachon (left) and General Nestor Makhno (right)
In the Commune of France, dubbed the birthplace of Syndicalism, the country's political system would enter into a deadlock power struggle of between the various factions varying for control. It was of no surprise that when war broke out with Germany, the Communards were woefully unprepared to fight the German war machine. in the chaos that followed from the fall of Paris, two leaders emerged to help unite the nation in it's darkest time. the duo consisted of Benoit Frachon and Nestor Makhno, popularly dubbed the Shield and sword respectively. Benoit was the shield in the sense that he help keep together the french government as well as purging extremists such as the Sorelians , in addition to serving as the official head of state for forgin affairs. Makhno, the sword, lead the resistance movement inside occupied territory in addition to being the de facto leader of the armed forces of the Communards. After driving the Germans out, Frachon was formally sworn as chairman of the commune of France.
New Flag of the SRI
Italy introduced the world to the idea of Christian Socialism in 1936, beating out Mussolini's Unione Nazionalista by a close margin. During the war, the SRI helped Communards with holding the line against the might of the Kaiserreich after Paris fell, in addition to fighting a war of unification in the Italian peninsula. in the aftermath of WWII, talks are underway of how to integrate the new territory to accept Torino's rule.
Flag of the Iberian Federation
Born out of the ashes of the Spanish civil war, the Iberian Federation is a peculiar entry into the European International. Most unique is their lack of a head of state of any kind, instead all government is loosely controlled by the Anarchist CNT-FAI congress. Despite it's decentrailzed nature, it proves a valuable asset in helping the french in holding back the germans.
though none of these changes can compare to the ascension of it's new members from across the Atlantic

one of most world changing events come from the sleeping, decaying giant that was the Former United States of America. A decade of Economic hardships saw the nation radicalized country across the political specter. this all collated in the election of Huey Long and thus the gears of revolution started to spur into motion. Huey Long's removal from power via a coup by General MacArthur proved to be the last nail in the coffin of the US. Soon the poor and damned arose to break the chains of their oppressors and bring death to tyrants of Long and MacArthur. the 2nd American civil war was brutal, though thanks to aid from their European comrades, the working class of America manged to triumph and unify the country under the banner of the IWW. during the reconstruction, a power struggle threatened to undue the work do hard fought. Eventually the ideas of "American Syndicalism" won out and thus the Socialist Republic of America was born.
President Pancho Villa of Mexico
the core of Mexico was shocked when President Zapata was nearly killed by a gunman. Though to have worked alone, the would be assassin turned out to have been in league with Plutarco Elías Calles as a power move to gain control of county. Calles was soon put on trial and executed for treason against the state. the the following election of 1937 Pancho Villa, already seen as Zapata's successor. won the presidency in a landslide. One of his first tasks was helping the fledgling American Syndicalists in both war contribution and aiding in the following reconstruction that followed with materials and manpower.
even more south of the border, Central America was unified by like of General Sandino, who lead a crusade againstthe various juntas that plagued the region. Despite his contributions, he was did not became the new nation's leader, as the Guatemalan Moderados won over Sandino's Revolutionaries. Serving as the bridge between the firmly established Syndclist in North America and the free for all in South America, Centroamerica has earned a place among the international as the breadbasket of the revolution.
Chairman Carlos Contreas Labarca
In Chile, the Maximists scored a victory in the elections following the 2nd ABC war. just like his British counterpart Labarca set about solydifing his rule over the country. His frist step was the purging all elements deemed "counter revolutionary" to the state. It's been estimated the over 25,000 lives were snuffed out in the ensuing purge
Fanny Jabcovsky of the Argentine Commune
While Chile fell to Totalism, the newborn Argentine went to the opposite direction. After securing the country from the hands of the dictator Manuel Carles, Jabcovsky won out in the ensuring power struggle. While at odds with Chile's more authoritarian regime, they are united in their cause to bring syndicalism to South America
Then there was the remains of the old empires, who are soon to be reborn as Syndicalist comrades
Tim Buck, Leader of the Provisional Government of Canada
The Monarchist taint that was the Kingdom of Canada was the first to fall to the SRA. While many in Chicago pushed for a complete annexation of the former Dominion, more cooler heads prevailed and the country was split into two. Canada proper would be over seen by a military government in cooperation with a newly installed Syndicalist Government, While Quebec would be liberated and set up their own socialist government.
map showing the break up of Nationalist France (minus Algerian Socialist Republic and Tunisia)
With it's main ally Canada falling to Syndicalism, The Petain government started to crumble from it's new isolated situation. soon the capital of Algiers would fall to Syndicalist forces and with it the last pillar of stability collapsed. parts of the country would ether declare independence or worst yet, fall to Goering's ever bloating empire of Mittelafrika.
Ernst Thalmann, soon to be inaugurated chairman of the German Syndicalist Union
Of course none of the former two could match the attention given by the international than the soon to be established German Syndicalist Union. Once the poster child of imperialism through out the world, the time is coming soon where Germany shall be reborn as a new syndicalist nation. A task easier said than done, as many key industrialist fled to either the Danube Federation to the south or to the Russian Zone of occupation, leaving the International to pick up the slack in rebuilding the country.
A Process that may be need sooner than latter, as Boris's iron grip strangles the eastern hemisphere
