Brittain ruler named Arthur

The first half is quite easy to arrange. Prince Charles, when he was serving in the RN, used the name Arthur (one of his many names). He wanted to be judged as a Naval Officer, rather than as the guy whose Mummy owns the firm.

Back then, he was fond of the name Arthur. So it just requires him to decide to take Arthur as a regnal name.

Arthur II? That's harder. Like, much harder. Nomenclature starts from William the Bastard, and the Saxon Edwards have been air-brushed out of the counting system.

I thought so. But it would be pretty confusing to have a king Arthur.

Why would it be confusing? No-one confuses Queen Elizabeth with Queen Elizabeth, and they're both real people. No-one confuses Queen Elizabeth the monarch with Queen Elizabeth the ship either.

If they do Her Majesty worries that she has been putting on some weight.
