Britain and France backstabbed the arabs in the Sykes-Picot agreement after WW1. The Kingdom of Hejaz, which was a British protectorate of sorts, refused to sign a friendship treaty because of said backstab. Due to this the British didn't intervene when another British Client, the Sauds, invaded the Hejaz. But what if the British intervened anyway? Would it be a short war where Ibn Saud realizes he can't win and enters negotiations quickly? Will it be more protracted as the British decide to somewhat punish the saudis? What would be the aftermath?
