British/Hanoverian Victory at Hastenbeck

What would have been possible ripple effects for a British/Hanoverian victory at Hastenbeck? Would this have shortened the war in Europe? What about the war in America? Curious for a timeline I'm working on.

Any takers?

Interesting. It's not a battle that I was familiar with. Cumberland made the mistake of thinking that the hill of Obensburg was impassable to formed troops, which meant that he had a flank in the air. Let's say that someone tells him otherwise and the French don't flank him, leading to a tactical draw (and that's a bit of a stretch as the French had more men, cavalry and guns). The result? Maybe a longer campaign in Hannover and a more UK-friendly Prussia (the battle lead to the Convention of Klosterzeven which annoyed Prussia a lot), which might have an impact on the European situation during the American War of Independence.

I'm thinking that a strategic draw here would lead to a tactical British/Hanover victory. The mission is to defend Hanover.
