British/French drew the line at the Low countries

What if the British and French had allowed Germany to invade Poland without declaring war on it, instead drawing the line of German occupation at the Low countries?

How would the war have turned out?

Its quite possible that there would be no war with the Low Countries. Hitler attacked them to get to France, and he needed to get to france because he was at war with them. If he's not at war, he can go on building his forces for when he double-crosses the USSR. He might even get Anglo-French support for that, as the general idea in Britain at least was that the fascist nations could be used as a buffer against Stalin.

Then again, war might come when/if he attacked Greece and Yugoslavia, both of which were British allied. In that case, things happen in roughly the same order, though maybe a year or two behind schedule.

But that came because Italy invaded Greece, and then failed. IOTL, from the German point of view, one might as well help the most important European ally because one was at war with the western powers anyways. In such a scenario though, Hitler could sacrifice Mussolini for his bumpling and concentrate on what was at the core of his ideology and expansionism - the war against the USSR for "Lebensraum im Osten". Hence, we could then see two seperate wars in Europe...
