British France and etc

I've always been interested in the Hundred Years War an now I'm thinking, what if the British won?

This is my first time, it's only my third post! I would like to hear your more experienced thoughts, comments and advice :D

Prologue
"NO LOOT!!!"
"A peasant carriage it was, sir", the small man replied in fear
"How do you dare to face me empty-handed?"
"Not precisely sir", the small man defended, still trembling,"would you mine if we bring her in?"
"Her?" it appears the intimidating voice's anger started to ease

Two strong hands pulled me out of the darkness, into the face of an ever darker being sitting on its throne
"We found the lady inside the carriage, we took care of the man with her", anger builds up within me upon hearing the small man's voice, may the Lord be more merciful to him than myself
"What is your name, lass?" the large man, who appeared to me as their leader, asked
"Johanne"
"What is your purpose, Johanne?"
"Divine voices have spoken to me, to..."
"I suppose you are still a virgin", the man said before I have finished my purpose.
I nodded. No, I should not think of the worse, my Lord will help me
"That is no surprise", the man laughed with a voice that shook the forest, "I have no use for such a manly witch! Take her out of my sight!"

The same sinful hands almost tore my arms off my body, taking me back to the darkness
Forgive me, Lord, I have failed you...

Welcome to the boards. The HYW isn't my area, so I have nothing to add. POD has potential and not sure if it's been done before. If it has someone might get all huffy and snide about using the "search", so try not to take that too seriously if it happens.

thx Geekish Khan
searched "hundred years war" and "Joan of Arc", the threads about HYW are all siding with the French :p
I'm taking the Brit's side here and I'm not even British, or American if that matters ;)

I think I need a day for research (and rest, and school, but who cares lol), Siege of Orleans who's point of view should I use
I have a need to write on a first person view lol

Not to mention a similar deluge of Britain ≠ England posts. Kind of an important distinction considering the fact that the Scottish were on the other side of the war...

Here's part one of the Fall of Orleans AND the whole AH by Charles d'Borboune

Part I : A Matter of Sides
"Where do you think you're going you filthy scum!" shouted a Scottish guard
I took off my hood, my cover has been blown
"Cannot a man enjoy fresh air while it is still free?"
"I am not sure that you are a man, but you may pass, breathe while you still have the chance" the Scott said.
He is one of the few remaining after a year of battling their neighbors in a far off land, and like all of them, they hold a terrible hatred against me. They called me cowardly because the English killed their leader.
And the worse part is it is not just those foreigners. Everything that breathes within the city walls shows their hatred towards me. Imagine living a life of mine for fourteen months!
I have had enough of this! Those dreadful pigs have treated my body as if it is insane or dead!
This is time for a change, from a side where I am looked down upon, to a side where I will be regarded a hero

"Friend or foe?" Second time I have been stopped by a guard since sunset
"Friend" I answered "To the rightful heir of France, the Royal House of Plantagenet"

...

Meant to write Part II also but busy with school so only did Part I
But really you should have guessed what part II would be about ;)

Comments and advice please :D

Part II : Within the Flames of Infiltration

The city is within our grasps. An inferno would surely keep the minds of the guards at bay.
"I would like to help, sir" a child face said, 19 of age, I assume
"Stay with the others"
"With due respect, sir, I will prove a good help up there"
"Make sure I do not die until our task is finished"
"Thank you, sir" there is nothing to smile about a suicide mission, yet the boy's lips widens
"And laddie" I said, and the boy's innocent eyes met mine" this is no time to play hero"
"Yes, sir" the boy said, heavily

***

An act of compassion proves fatal for the French, as the boy finished the last of the 2 guards of the wall
"What can I do to help, sir?"
"Keep an eye on the guards"
"What do I do if I found one, sir?" This boy asks so many questions
I stared the boy at his eyes "kill him"

***

It am not surprised that the French have realized the gate is being lowered, but they're how long it took confound me.
As the pain of the arrow in my chest took my life second by second, the enemies are inching nearer to finish it.
The boy continued what I cannot do any longer.
"I did not expect you to do my task"
"With all due respect, sir, this is not a time to play hero" Clever, this boy is, I must admit
The boy lowered the gates even lower, but not low enough.
The boy was already hit on the shoulder. By then the guards can't be far away
"Now is the time for you to go, boy"
The boy hesitated. He will get us both killed!
"There is one more that I should do" I have told him not to play hero! Such immaturity this boy shows!

With juvenile swiftness, the boy made it to the nearest cannon. I take my words back, this boy is a genius.
With the reel broken off the boy jumped, into the darkness of the Loire.
Where our mighty men wait....

Couldn't decide whose point of view to write, ended up with this
Yeah, quite early for a writer's block :S
But I already made the chronology of almost another century of events :)

Comments critics and suggestions please :D

That is a bit harshly put but...France certainly wouldn't be 'ruled' by England and England would likely be the less important of the two kingdoms (albeit not massivly so)
Given every time France gets its act together it likes to expand eastwards to the Rhein and given England made all its money there at the time a conflict between the two seems very likely.
