British don't discovered iranian oil in 1908 but after WWI

British head office in London of Anglo persian oil company had send letter in early 1908 to Mr Reynold chief geologist in Iran to stop drilling for oil and back drilling rig to send back to UK .but Mr Reynold drilled for one last oil well in May 1908 . That well was first oil field disoverddi in middle East.
That are effect if iran oil wasn't discovered in 1908 but after great war?

Well, it means at the very least that the Royal Navy is going to need to lean heavier on other concessions if they want to get oil-fired as they were IOTL. The only other viable option I can see in the short term would be the oil wells in Mexico, which means GB is going to be less patient and more... jittery about events in The Mexican Revolution and will want to insure the regeime in Mexico City was guranteed to protect those concessions, maybe even expand them. This runs the risk of bumping up against the Americans.

Early on, most of their Oil came from the India/Burma region, Persian production was pretty minor during WWI

But what effects does it have on Iran? Is there less British influence and more Russian? Does it end up a republic after the qajars are overthrown (if the qajars are overthrown) ?
