british chancellor

what if after the first world war, britian put up its own chancellor to control german in case of future wars.

how would germany be affected by this and how would this change hitler course to power.

also how would the war begin and end

Are you suggesting Britain install a Chancellor in Germany after The Great War like the Raj in India; an external Governor?

You have to remember that Germany after the First World War wasn’t a wholly occupied country. Yes the British had an army of occupation in part of the country but that was in a limited area and was so that Germany complied with the armistice it wasn’t intended to be permanent or occupy the entire country.

I think you’d need big changes to circumstances for a British installed Chancellor to be feasible, and if you did all you’d see is German rebellion.
 
The german population would hate this regime more than they hated the Weimar republic.

Hitler would not be in a powerful positon as a nationalist revolution would be brought forward and led by one of the usual suspects egHindngerg

ok i agree that maybe it needs to be a bit more feasable but how would it be more feasable with my semi limted knowledge of the time
