Apparently this plan is on wikipedia not sure if it is accurate but here's the link

Supposed map of what France wanted in 1915 as war goals.

I can see Britain objecting but if there is an entente victory somehow in 1915 they would be isolated as it would be Russia and France voting against them at the peace conference (and no US).

So basically we have a monstrous Russia and no German counterbalance. Are the Brits going to be kicking themselves for empowering an even less liberal and more autocratic state then Germany? Also France is looking a bit too powerful to. What happens if Russia and France gang up on Britain next? Alliances seemed to change pretty quick back then.

Seriously though Britain is lucky this didn't happen and Russia collapsed (which no one really predicted before the war, everyone thought it was the stronger partner compared to France).

It seems they should have maybe thought their alliances through a bit more carefully. Maybe Anglo-German alliance would have been a safer option? Or at least neutrality. Since Germany-Austria vs France-Russia might have been a better balance of power on the continent without Britain making it too one sided. I mean Britian might have served the balance of power better by being neutral rather then taking anyone's side.
