Brazilian Civil War over Slavery?

Let's say due to British intervention, or a more confident monarch (say Pedro has a son who lasts past infancy) the Brazilian Empire abolishes slavery earlier, say the 1850s or 60s. Could this lead to an all out civil war between the landowners and the government?

If Pedro had a son who lasted past infancy that started an anti slavery movement, it is very possible to have seen an American style civil war occur in Brazil between the landowners and abolition factions. Brazil was highly dependent on agriculture (less so now, but still important).
