Both sons of Pedro II survive

Not sure if this particular idea has been explored before, but what changes if both the sons of Pedro II of Brazil survive into adulthood?

Would having two male heirs to succeed him ensure Pedro actually cares about how things progress in his empire? Thus preventing a military coup etc?

I suppose that Pedro II lost his faith for Brazilian monarchy after death of his sons and heirs so with surviving son/s Pedro II has more faith and if coup still occurs. he might fight for monarchy.

Hmm this is true though with two surviving sons the chances of anyone daring anything seem quite slim.

Well this, but a PoD with two surviving sons might even butterfly the need for a coup, since many of the factors that led to the coup happening run the possibility of it not happening (i.e. the Paraguayan War)

Hmm this is true, some proper economic reforms and military reforms would be good to see. And would also potential allow Brazil to develop properly.
