Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun

Numerous layers of evidence indicate that the mound Visocica represents an ancient colossal structure with undeniable pyramid shape that meets the following globally-accepted scientific requirements:
  • visible symmetric geometry;
  • precise orientation to all four cardinal directions;
  • geo-sedimentary composition of evidence from the ground;
  • analysis of satellite images;
  • analysis of satellite thermal images which indicates the characteristics of artificial construction;

If nature creates a geological pyramid shape, why don’t we give it the proper descriptive term:
pyramid hill? The arguments on this nomination at Visočica persist because of: 1) little knowledge
on PYRAMID SCIENCE, 2) wrong belief that pyramids are MANMADE; and 3) opinions driven by
DISAGREEABLE ATTITUDES.

Visočica is a natural hill of Miocene age shaped by man into pyramids with a few hard, manmade conglomerate blocks on the plateau. Perfect shaped rectangular blocks.

Pyramid Science? Are we talking about the science of building a pyramid such as how to transport large quantities of stone etc. etc. or the whole 'mystic razor sharpening voodoo' stuff?

Yes, not all Pyramids are manmade, it's just that in this case the archaeologists are trying to say this and the Bosnian group are trying to claim this is one of the manmade ones.

Finally, this is a hill that had a castle-town on the top that was one of the most culturally and strategically significant in medieval Bosnian history, meaning those stone blocks are easily explainable as medieval, and what is more as the natural shape of a pile of earth is a pyramid, then once you get a roughly quadrilateral shaped top, as is the case with the castle, then the most likely form for erosion to result in the slopes taking is a roughly square shaped pyramid.

What does any of this have to do with alternate history? I mean as much as I support the cause of PYRAMID SCIENCE and MANMADE pyramids it doesnt seem that related.

The "archaeologist" who's created this theory is actually guilty of tampering with the site and molding it to look more pyramidal, claiming he's doing it as a part of "restoration efforts" to guise his real motivations.

A lot of people who come here seem to confuse alternate history with alternative history.

This thing was all the hype, back in 2006/7. Some time during 2010 the last vestiges of this hoax fell, the guy who claimed 'discovery' is nowhere to be found and Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids Foundation has been abandoned by all, with president publicly proclaiming that he was fooled by para-archaeologist Osmanagic. Nowadays, not even in Visoko will you find somebody who supports this thesis, except in a joke.

I've been to the site (one friend of mine insisted we see it, and we were passing by anyway) when they started 'digging' and all I saw were some huge rock plates that looked like they might have been pressed for a very long time by copious amounts of earth. Which is exactly what happened. City of Visoko remains just a small Bosnian town, remembered only for once upon a time being capital city of Kingdom of Bosnia.

None that I saw. The ones they've shown might easily be the remnants of medieval cities as the people who built such things usually wanted to have a quick way out by some side passage (and as someone pointed out this castle was on top of the 'pyramid') so the existence of cavities proves absolutely nothing.

Anyway, why the sudden interest in a beaten up, so long ago dead horse? :confused:

Perhaps moving this thread to ASB or NPC might be a nice idea.

Hmmm...

Did he post a bizarre, utterly insane theory. Yep

Is he funny or even mildly amusing? Nope. Dead Serious.

Eleven11 potential? Very low

Worth the trouble of keeping around? No.

Ponder... Ponder...
