Borders & Nations in the event of a lack of large-scale European colonialism

In the case of a Europe-screw with minimal impact on the rest of the world (any suggestions for POD?), how might borders develop in Africa, Asia and the Americas?

European colonialism does not need to be entirely avoided, but it would be preferential to reduce it as much as possible. Have more Hong Kong’s and less Indochina's, for example. Or Goa and Pondicherry, but not the Raj. Bonus points if colonialism is reduced as much as possible from non-European countries, so no China industrializes and making the whole world it’s tributary.

How might the world develop with independent Incan Empire in the Andes, the Empire of Vietnam dominating Indochina, etc.

I feel that without as much European influence in South America, and with the Aztec Empire being a mess of a hyper-religious state with huge repressed and angry minority populations, and therefore liable to collapse, the 400 pound gorilla of South America will definitely be the Incas/Tawantinsuyu.

Asia at least would do best without the various periods of isolation and anti-foreign sentiment in both China and Japan or at least periods that did not hamper the technological exchange with Europe. With European technological advancements in firearms China in particular may be able to avoid the sphere of influence period.
