Books on Medieval India

I am currently working on a pan-Eurasian timeline with a PoD in Central India around 900 AD. I have however found it extremely difficult to find good resources on this period in Indian history, from roughly 800-1000 AD, and Wikipedia is often contradictory. Does anyone have any recommendations for books or online resources on this period?

India: A History covers the period but as it doesn’t exclusively focus on it it doesn’t go into as much detail as I’m assuming other books might. It’s still a useful source though, at least in my experience.

A History of Ancient and Early Medieval India: From the Stone Age to the 12th Century by Upinder Singh is the best resource I know. The first half probably won't help you but the second is very comprehensive and holistic about all aspects of society and politics. It's Cambridge-endorsed and I got a copy for $20 AUD, so it's cost effective and critically endorsed.

Romola Thapar's Early India: From The Origins to AD 1300 is also good but I don't find Thapar to be as comprehensive.
