Bolsheviks turn West, a Russian Civil War question

The dissolution of the Russian Empire gave rise of many new states. Even after the Russian Civil War several countries like Poland, Finland and the Baltic states remained non-Red.

Could the Reds have focused more on taking control of the Western states, the earlier mentioned non-Red states? And allowed a new White state in Far East and/or Siberia?

Perhaps even an earlier Manchukuo, compromising the whole of Manchuria?

Would the Whites go for this? Or where they solely focused on taking control of the whole of Russia? After all they were not even united in their plans.

If allowed, could they even feed themselves? Where were the agrarian regions at that time?

I apologize if these are stupid questions, but I lack a general understanding of the location and time period.

The Whites would not accept this and the Reds would not accept this. IOTL the Soviets only gave up on the Polish SSR after Poland beat them in a war. Same with the whites and the west. This is particularly true since most of the good land and population is in the west, and any state that controls the west can crush the east. The main agricultural areas of the Russia Empire at the time were Ukraine, southern Siberia, and herding in Central Asia. So it is possible that the Whites could feed themselves, however they would still lose because there are very few people in Siberia, so they can't win against numerically superior Reds.

Neither the Reds nor the whites would find this in any way an acceptable peace. The whites considered themselves the legitimate government of all Russia, and would not accept the Reds controlling everything worthwhile, and the Reds have no reason to give up on taking back Siberia which is essentially indefensible against the Russian heartland. The Bolshevik war plan actually rested on peace with those countries in order to stamp out any chance of the white armies being capable of retaking Russia.

Well, you are actually making my point.

That is what I am asking about. What if the Reds focused more on Europe. Throw more people on Poland, sacrifice people for the Baltics and Finland.

I see that not all Whites would settle for the East. I would say that some Whites, like the Cossacks, Mongols and other Eastern people would have been happy to - perhaps with the help of the USA, Japan, CS Legions.
Perhaps even if number of the White exiles and escapees from the West increases...

As I understand it Lenin was more interested in the world revolution, in contest to Stalin's one nation. So he ought to have been more focused on the West and gain a foothold there rather then settle with the West and focus on the East.
