Bolivarian Gran Colombia

IOTL, Venezuela was/is Bolivarian and SA-Integrationist, and so was/is Ecuador. In theory, they should be all out for further integration, the only problem was that U.S. backed Colombia was in the way, so if you get Colombia to go Bolivarian, is it possible to create a Bolivarian Socialist Gran Colombia with Chavez at its head?

Colombia has just spent the last fifty years fighting left-wing radicals who have broken every law of war and human rights. Why would they elect someone remotely resembling Chavez?

I don't think you'd get much further than the set up that exists for Central America in this situation with the objective being to over time slowly federalize into a unitary state.

Because FARK and their ilk don't remotely resemble Chavez either?
