(Note, taken from a University of Tokyo American Studies 487 Textbook)
The World Truely did not see the 2nd American Revolution coming at all, much like the collapse of the USSR of old. Like it, there was very little bloodshed but unlike that event, there was no "breakup" atleast in a physical/territorial sense of the word. Instead, the country stayed intact but radically reordered its goverment and overall leadership, for some reform, others reactionary, but still to others, radical. The reprecussions were spread throughout the world as many Am-erigries as they were informally known as, fled to Canada, Austrailia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Europe and so forth. This is merely an introduction of the course. The next chapter will examine the overall idealogy and events leading up to Revolution, as many will probably think that at one point, there was no turning back for the Americans, and that there was no way the ancien regime would be able to stay intact.
