The birth of a son

On 1341, Adelaide of Hesse married Casimir III the Great, King of Poland. This was Casimir's second marriage, after the death of his first wife, Aldona of Lithuania. Casimir had no male heir, though he had two daughters, Elizabeth and Kunigunde. On 29 September 1341, Adelaide was crowned in Poznan Cathedral.

The marriage has been consummated but later, the marriage between the two had been stormy and unhappy although Adelaide, Adelaide of Hesse is revealed to be pregnant a few months after her marriage with the King of Poland, the news of the pregnancy is heard by the King and recalled her back to the court, he said he will name his child if it were born a son after the saint that he wants, Saint Sigismund.

Adelaide of Hesse, the Queen of Poland went into hard labor and gave birth to a healthy son – this was the most waited event of Casimir III the Great.

The child was baptized on the Wawel Cathedral and was named Sigismund(Zygmunt) by Casimir III the great in honor of the patron saint that he had chosen.

For Charles, the son of John I of Bohemia, his son had just died and have only daughters with his wife, Blanche of Valois.

Note: I am also planning to prevent the marriage of Elisabeth of Pomerania and Charles IV, so Bohemia does not gain any succession rights to Poland again and the Dynasty of Luxembourg dies in the male line after the death of Jobst of Moravia, the last Luxembourg King of Bohemia which would only sire daughters.
