Bismarck exiled in the 1860es

What if the "Iron Chancellor" never comes to be but instead is ousted by his enemies during the "Heeresreform" argument. He also falls out of favour with the Prussian King Wilhelm I. and eventually is disgraced, disaproppiated and has to leave the country. Where would he stay, where would he go ?

If he goes to the United States, when would it happen? Before, during or after the ACW? If it's during the Civil War which side would he be on?

I think they mean the United States of Mexico...though that would be seriously amusing. After all he still gets the chance to be a real nightmare to Napoleon III.

If he leaves Prussia around 1862 he might arrive during the ACW.
In a German book about Germans in the ACW it is stated that Bismarck as well as King Wilhelm I. and the Prussian government were against the secession of the Confederacy. Bismarck had frieds (their names are Montly and Bancroft), who persuaded him to have a pro-Union stance.

However, another young Prussian Junker, Heros von Borcke fought for the Confederacy.
