GOD..OF..WAR!!!!
Kawakanajima,September 10 1561

The fourth battle of Kawakanajima. There, the forces of the Usuegi clan faced the Takeda clan, killing each other, hoping to conquer each territories...and ending the rivalry beetween them.As the battle rages on,it was clearly seen that Shingen Takeda is losing, but he still-not issuing a retreat, hoping for a miracle.

Usuegi realizes that this is the perfect time to end this whole babble.Riding up to Shingen, knowing that Shingen will use his iron war fan to take out to deflect the blows,Kenshin heads for the hand.

Slash.

Shingen dropped his fan, realizing that there's a big cut on his hand. Kenshin circles the confused-and wounded Shingen,and...

A head rolled on the ground. Shingen's head.
The head of the Takeda family is gone.

Kenshin doesn't realize that this is happening.
He just killed his rival, his frenemy.
What the hell he just did!?

Boosted by the death of the Takeda leaders, the Usuegi army marches on,ignoring their leader who is shellshocked, his pupil dilates, knowing the hard truth.Deep on his heart,he realizes that Shingen is just like his sibling, despite all of this killing thing.

Now,blind with rage,he realizes that what truly japan need.

Unification.

In order to stop this whole killing nonsense,as brothers killing brothers, all in the name of conquest.

And thus, the story of the Bishamonten began...

So Kenshin wins. Will this butterfly away Nobunaga's rise?

I've been waiting for a Sengoku jidai TL. Subscribed.

Move,move...move!
1 February 1562

Shingen Takeda's death have haunted Kenshin's dreams for months,as he can't escape the fact that he's arleady been like a "Brother",despite they always tried to kill each other everytime.

Now,deciding to continuing the war as a act of mercy killing,Kenshin's forces arleady swept through the land, with every acres of that land now flying Usuegi banners. The Hojo,Saito, and Imagawa also took this as their chance to grab more lands, but they are beaten by the Usuegi, who's now just "One Step" to taking all the Takeda lands.

And he did it,as the capital of the Takeda clan is under control,he quickly secures the land, fearing the Hojo,Saito, and Imagawa taking over the remaining uncharted territories.

Kenshin doesn't care if he'll branded as a warmonger,as he refuses his advisors's advice to "go diplomatic",knowing that humanity always lies, and backstab each other,no matter what happened.

Now,just right after securing the Takeda land...

There's a March heading towards Jinbo and Ashina,Ninjas running, roof to roof, seeking to end the Jinbo and Ashina leaders.

The army marches, and the first shot is heard on Jinbo,as the Usuegi army quickly stepping over everything they saw.

Time to...Pose.
January 1563-July 1563
With the Takeda territory ended up getting taken by Imagawa,Saito, and Hojo, and the Jinbo finally submits(and the Ashinas are forced to give a big concession)Kenshin decided to take a rest, and rebuild the conquered lands, until what called as the "Great Blockade" happened.

As the Daimyos, rallied by the Date imposed a great trading blockade, hoping to destroy the Usuegi's economy.Unfortunately,Kenshin have played the worst gamble of them all.By establishing stronger trade relations with the greatest enemies of the Japanese people, the Ming and Joseons, despite losing the domestic market, the Usuegi can still survive and gaining incomes due to the trade.

In the end,Usuegi, angered by this such act..takes out Asakura,Ikko-Ikki,and the Amegakoji at-once,marking the Usuegi's official "cutting ties" with the other Daimyos.

Thus..
The tale of the mad Bishamonten began.

1563??? okay I don't think the Imagawa are going to do anything. By 1563 the battle of Okehazama had resulted in the decimation of the Imagawa clan's leadership and their vassal the Matsudaira( later the Tokugawa) becoming independent. If anything Shigen's original heir Yoshinobu is still alive and he married a daughter of Yoshimoto, so perhaps his brother in law Ujizane may come to his aid. Actually there was a triple marriage alliance of the Hojo,Takeda and Imagawa, so in desperation it might be the Uesugi vs the a great weakened Takeda,Imagawa with the Hojo as the strongest.

The Saito may have been engaged in war against the Oda at this time. Other than that it's an interesting premise.

Regardless I still think the Saito and Imagawa can't do jack in that situation. How would this Great Blockade happen? It seems like something out of Shogun 2 or Nobunaga's Ambition. Kenshin was rather respectful of the Shogun and Emperor, he would have to royally piss them in order to give any kind of green light for such a scenario. Kenshin taking Kai and Shinano after a decisive 4th battle of Kawanakajima I can see, going the Nobunaga route it or close to it is what i'm questioning.

This TL's premise plays with Kenshin's emotions,as he is extremely shaken after accidentally Killing Shingen, thus, since he will unite japan to end the bloodshed, the Usuegi suddenly turn extremely hostile to everyone.

That rising star
July 1563-January 1564

Not being entirely suicidal,Kenshin, despite continues to steamroll over other clans, realizes that he NEED to make friend with someone.Well,Kenshin got channels on China and Korea, but on other clans? Most of the clans arleady hates the Usuegis, and few of them arleady expelled Usuegi merchants-and diplomats.

Who?

There's a rising star on the south, the Oda Daimyo.

The Oda clan, who is in-alliance with the Usuegi rival, the Tokugawas...well,seems to be a great ally, but what does it take to befriend them? Their attitude is extremely smilar with them, both extremely millitaristic.

Filled with hope,Kenshin sends a envoy to the Odas.

The situation with the smaller daimyos are..great,despite having some stalemates.

1624-1630
A Six Year Leap.

During this leap,Kenshin finally stopped his campaign with a rather-stagnant gain, with everything is put on a stalemate. The Oda daimyo meanwhile continues to grab more territories-well,not too fast like what the Usuegi is.

The situation on the Usuegi territories are not stable enough,as people from the recently-conquered territories began to ask the true intentions of Kenshin. And Kenshin is yet to quell that chaos. What will Kenshin do? As the Clan is not that quite big,and "Alliances" must be forged.Making alliances with the Koreans,or even the Qing probably spells suicide, and blocks the path to make an alliance with another Daimyo.

What will happen next?

This TL,just like my ASB and Lawrence TL will be put on hiatus until I could get more info and co-op partners(in case of the Bishamonten and Lawrence one)

Thanks.

(And I'll,perhaps, delegate more of my time to my Oldboy rewrite, thank you.)
