Big Butterflies?

Here's a simple question, would it be possible to butterfly away to medieval warm period or the little ide age, or does that count as ASB? I mean weather is the source of the Butterfly Effect, but are those larger climatic shifts too big for a (non-industrialised) society to mess with?

I would call it ASB. Those are geological events that the course of human history wouldn't be able to change or prevent I think.

Actually, it's been seriously suggested that significant expansion in coal-burning that the Industrial Revolution caused did have some warming effect on at least western Europe's climate. If so, then earlier industrialisation => less of a 'Little Ice Age'.

This I could get behind, perhaps. However, I don't see how to prevent the Medieval Warm Period.
