In this TL, the vernacular and not Latin is used as the language of church from at least the early Middle Ages onwards so that by the eleventh century in the British isles there is a bible in Norse, Old Irish, Brythonic and Old English and the early medieval church does try to operate services in the vernacular although this would of course depend on what the local aristocrat wants at the time eg: somewhere where the peasants speak x but the thegn speaks y would probably use bible y.
Either way what effect would having the bible and church services in these languages do for the evolution of these languages?
