Op: Basically as the Tin Says. Hideyoshi actually plans for a long war, sends his potential future enemies such as Tokugawa and his political supporters to Korea First so they take the brunt of the causalities instead of Hideyoshi's supporters.
Hideyoshi also releases the Ironclads that Japan possesses to go on the campaign. Though from what I can gather, they weren't very sea worthy.
Now, this isn't necessarily going to give the Japanese a victory, but it could very well effect the succession crisis following Hideyoshi's death substantially.
