The Buffaloes were considered unsuitable for service in ETO, so were sent to Malaya. What other unwanted British aircraft in service (or available) in early 1941 could we send to bolster the force?
My top picks by order of usefulness:
Westland Whirlwind
Hawker Henley
Blackburn Skua (withdrawn from frontline FAA service 1941)
Handley Page H.P.54 Harrow (useful transport)
de Havilland Albatross
de Havilland Express (good recon, can land anywhere)
Short Singapore (withdrawn 1941)
Brewster Bermuda (withdrawn from RAF service 1941)
Any other suggestions? How'd you think these RAF/FAA castoffs would do in the theatre?
