    Hey guys!

I would really like to play out a few submarine convoy attacks on a simulator to test a ATL scenario. For this I'm looking for a (computer) simulator of naval/submarine warfare. Any tips? I have the following preferences:

    - There should be a scenario builder or other way to (somewhat easily) mod a scenario.
    - It should be able to simulate a attack of multiple submarines.
    - It should be able to simulate WW2 naval/submarine warfare (considering the ATL this is a must).
    - If possible one should be able to change the characteristics of units.

All tips and help is welcome! :)

The only one I have any familiarity with is the 50 year old Avalon Hill title 'Submarine'. It was designed specifically for WWII actions. IIRC it did have multiple scenarios, the ability to easily design new scenarios, & there were some post publication add ons. One of those included variant rules for motor torpedo boat actions.

Check out the forums at subsim. The Silent Hunter game series has some good reviews and it there are a lot of very detailed mods.

Hmm sounds interesting. It's a board game though and also out of print :( Thanks for the tip though!

Yeah I have been looking at Silent Hunter. It seems though that Silent Hunter is a simulation happenining on a single submarine, so no top down tactical control of multiple submarines right?

Looks like a nice sub simulator but is set in the heigth of the Cold War so not really suited for my purposes.

Is anyone playing Command: air naval operations? I've seen it on discount at steam and Matrix. Is it semi-easily adapted?

The absolute best scenario editor and naval warfare sim is Harpoon. I haven't played it but I also hear good things about the Command series, although I don't know about the scenario editor.

While primarily a Cold War sim, you could choose less capable units (Whiskey class SS, escorts with minimal passive systems) and get a pretty good handle on things.
