Best division of the Ottoman Empire after WWI

Inspired by the thread on AH, here is maybe a more challenging one: Try to come up with a division of the Ottoman Empire that would be best i the long term.

Establishment of a 'Greater Syrian' state composed of Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and what is now Al Anbar Governorate in Iraq.

Mesopotamian state, preferably including Kuwait.

Jury is out on the Greek Question.

Would be nice to give the Armenians some of their land back though, given the 'unpleasantness'.

Armenia is kind of like Poland unfortunately. Trapped between two large and powerful countries.

What about a state made up roughly of the Sunni Arab areas of Iraq plus the Eufrat river basin in Syria? Maybe it could be called "Jazira", which I have read is a historical name of the area. Kurdistan gets its own state. If Russia had stayed in the war, they would probably have got the Armenian areas in Turkey (although there is an overlap between Armenian and Kurdish areas that would have had to be taken into consideration. They would also have got the Constantinople area. If we assume that the POD is after the end of WW1, Russia had already left the war and had become a revolutionary state, so they get nothing.

The coastal areas north of Lebanon, which is dominated by Alawites and Christians could either become an independet state or become part of Lebanon. The situation in Palestine is undetermined, but would preferably have liberal rules for Jewish immigration. The Damaskus area might perhaps make up a state together with Transjordan?

A shia-dominated arab state called Iraq, strethching from the Baghdad area in the north to Kuwait plus the shia-dominated Arab eastern coast. Egypt gets the west coast of Arabia and Saudi is screwed...

Guess what, Bill Clinton succeeded to correct american history, by giving back
their independance and their autonomy, a country in a country with full power and authority over their citizens, their chiefs statemans amongs statemans.
They are aboriginals amongs originals, after over 150 years of dependancy.
Bill understood the impossible, bravo ! Gerard
