(OOC: John Milton, the greatest poet of the English language, was well aware of his genius, and that Paradise Lost would be his life's greatest work. He considered two themes, eventually choosing to "justify the ways of God to man." As amazing as Paradise Lost is, I rather wish he had gone with his second choice)
