Best 1759 for New France

What do you think would be the best outcome of 1759 campaign for New France?

You might have PoD as late as September. The sentries at Anse aux Foulon give a warning at optimum time so that the British go on to land and deploy, but the French win the battle of Plains of Abraham and massacre the British landing force. It is September, summer is ending - with heavy losses the surviving besieger camps have no chance to take the city that year, and no alternative to pack up and sail away before autumn, with heavy losses.

But they are still free to return in Spring 1760, and try again.

Also, Quebec will have suffered heavy losses over the 4 months of the siege. The British batteries on Levis heights have been able to shoot over the river and bomb the city. And the British ships have been able to sneak past the city and raid some way up St. Lawrence.

How about an earlier PoD?

Suppose that the French decide, back in June, to fortify Levis Heights on their own. Presumably, the British would then start by trying to attack and besiege Levis Heights. Would they succeed (leaving the French worse off than OTL, on account of the losses of men and guns at Levis Heights)?

Suppose that Levis Heights are successfully defended in July 1759, so the Brirish never manage to bomb Quebec, nor sneak througn Narrows commanded by French guns on both sides. Quebec thus escapes the losses from bombing and raids. What would the effects be on the British? Could they, on finding Quebec impregnable, give up in late July already instead of spending whole summer, leave and pursue better ways to attack New France, cutting their own losses?

Like overland attack against Montreal. Which did happen OTL in 1760.

If, in summer 1760, Quebec still is held by French because the 1759 siege failed, would an overland against Montreal happen? And would it succeed?
