Bert Hinkler not killed in aircrash

OK I was up in Bundaberg a few wks ago for the Wide Bay airshow, they've got the aviation Hall of Fame/Museum dedicated to Bert Hinkler (which I must checkout next time I get back up there)- so WI he hadn't been killed in the aircrash over Italy in 1933 ? How would he have impacted WWII ?
