In novembe 1940 it was.The Vilnius region was transferred to Lithuania
The last Belorussian nuclear weapons were handed over to Russia at the end of November 1996. It had around 100 at the time the Soviet Union collapsed, IIRC.When did Belarus give its nukes to Russia? And how many did it have? If the West/Russia tries to intervene things could get messy...

Those territories were transferred after Lithuanian SSR was incorporated in USSR. In Bielorussian SSR they were some about one year.Britannica says it was October 10, 1939. This wiki map might clarify things.

I love you. That image just made my week right there...
No, but in all honesty, is anyone in Belarus that stupid to declare war on anyone in Europe, especially while the US/NATO is watching Eastern Europe to make sure that those nukes go back to Russia.
Here's the war (with nukes):
1) Belarus nukes either Warsaw or Vilnius, depending on who they go to war with...
2) About an hour later, NATO reduces Minsk and any Belarussian army divisions to radioactive ash...
3) Within two weeks, it's back under Russian control...
why would NATO launch nuclear strike on Minsk? Poland and Balts became NATO members in 1999
I'm pretty sure Russia is going to be extremely pissed when an American nuke goes off in a former Soviet territory, one which Russia still has incredibly close links to and one which is a member of the CIS. Given that Russia has a seat on the Security Council, I do think the UN would say 'no', in that Russia would veto any resolution to nuke Belarus....Because I'm pretty sure a nuclear strike by a former Soviet republic anywhere is a decent warrant for a strike against such a nation. And I doubt the UN is going to say "no" after a nuke's been dropped.

Poland only joined NATO in 1999, after the scenario takes place, so I don't see why NATO is going to risk Russian nuclear retaliation for the sake of Poland. If Belarus actually nuked Warsaw or any capital city of a NATO member then what the UN or Moscow says won't matter. Minsk will be gone.
