Beatles WI: Johnny Hutchinson instead of Ringo?

After the dismissal of Pete Best, Brian Epstein wanted The Big Three drummer Johnny Hutchinson to pound the drums for The Beatles. But, due to his friendship with Pete and his distaste for The Beatles he turned the offer down.

Imagine if he did take the role? Maybe he needed the money or The Big three disbanded sooner? What would be of The Beatles? Remember, he did play with them briefly in OTL. How long till the arguments would begin?

John, Paul, George, and Hutch. Sounds good. However, it's been written that the loudmouth acid-tongued Lennon was afraid of the physically imposing Hutchinson, and it's unlikely he would have lasted very long.

The forgotten Beatle drummer was a guy named Norman Chapman. He was a jazz drummer who played three gigs with them in July 60 before being drafted into the British Army. If not for that, it would have been he who went to Hamburg instead of Pete Best. John, Paul, George, and Norm anyone?

Perhaps, but if he was good enough then Epstein would have made sure Lennon would have held his tongue... at least for a while.
