Battle of Wakefield

WI: Richard of York defeats the Lancastrians at this battle. Would he have seized the throne after it, or been content to continue his "protectorate"?

How does he win? I'm presuming he is staying behind the walls and hoping that he can withstand a siege, as we know what happens when he sallies out....but yes continue the protectorate after having got rid of a few pernicious advisors. Only problem is how to deal with the queen.

He possibly could have without a siege at the castle until a Yorkist relief force arrived. I recall that the Lancastrians did not control London at that time.
