Battle of Alalia

Does rather seem like a Greek states non-win than a Carthage/Etruscan win! Or as the Wiki text says Cadmian victory - we would probably call it a Pyrrhic victory.
The Greeks did win; we would say a Greek tactical defeat of superior enemy but afterwards being unable to follow up on the strategic scale leaving the initiative to the Carthage/Etruscan allies.

So Carthage would continue to lose battles but ultimately win the "war" by locking the Greeks into the Med making Tartessians suffer.

Seems to me that Carthage was lucky the Greeks took their internal strife to the colonies.
