Basil II

WI: The Byzantine emperor Basil II had died about 10 years earlier. Could Zoe then had had children by any of her numerous husbands?

You mean AND his brother Constantine. It was both of them that supposedly didn't want to have any man associated with the Imperial House. Personally I always found that odd, especially since Zoe was offered as a bride to Emperor Otto III. But if they both die and Zoe is married OTL yes I think its possible. It would be highly difficult and improbable but not impossible. Zoe would be 40 so a much better chance then she did at 50. Remember Constance of Sicily, Empress of Henry VI, gave birth to the future Frederick II at 40.
