Does anyone have ideas of the effect of Queen Victoria being barren her entire life? Assume she lives the same amount of time, dying in 1901, with the heir presumptives during her life being Ernest Augustus, King of Hanover, then his son King George V of Hanover and then George V's son, Prince Ernest Augustus, 3rd Duke of Cumberland and Teviotdale . (Though the last two can be butterflied)

iOTL, King George V of Hanover was deposed when the Prussians annexed Hanover in 1866, do the British get involved if it is Victoria's heir on the throne?

I'm sure things may differ if it is Albert who is Sterile, but for many types of infertility, especially in the 19th century, they would be guessing...

(note, OTL is about as far from this as you can get, Victoria was married 10 Feb 1840 gave birth to a daughter 21 Nov 1840 and a son 9 Nov 1841 and then 7 more children. All nine of whom lived to adulthood, all married and all but one had children.)
