Barbarossa II

Autumn 1940-- Several high-ranking German officials prepare a statement on the dangers of war with Russia. Hitler ignores and confides to Hermann Goering that: "Everyone on all sides was...raising economic misgivings against a...war with Russia. From now onwards he wasn't going to listen to...that talk and he was going to stop up his ears in order to get his peace of mind". (The above is direct from Goering)

5 Dec., 1940-- The plans for Operation Barbarossa are drawn up. The invasion is scheduled for May 1941. Hitler signs off on all orders.

Mar. 1941-- Hermann Goering perpares a "Green Folder" outlining the Soviet economic disposal after the (succesful) invasion. It includes reccomendations theat the entire population of the USSR be starved to death.

Early summer 1941-- Alfred Rosenberg plans the division of the USSR into districts: Ostland, Ukraine, Kaukasus, Moskau, and Turkestan.
"We have only to kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down"-- Adolf Hitler

Early June 1941-- Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb, a cautious man, manages to convince Hitler that warm clothing and cold-weather gear are needed.

I will be expanding this shortly.

That's too short for a scenario. Post more chapters, have it discussed, then you can post it in the T&S forum when it's good enough.

Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb is the last person Hitler would listen to about anything. By June 1941, Hitler had allready forcibly retired him twice and only recalled him to colors for Barbarossa for propaganda and prestige reasons. You would need that subject brought to Hitler by someone he liked and trusted... Falkenhorst can order them for his Norway garrison and they could be diverted perhaps or maybe Guderian can bring the idea up since Leningrad was considered the most important objective in some of the planning conferences
If Leeb even brought that up he would be considered defeatist and probably retired again (although that might be a good thing for the Germans since Leeb wasn't particularly skilled IMO)
