Bagrationi Persia

Is it possible to have a cadet lineage of the Bagrationis rule Persia since in OTL the areas they ruled were conquered by Persia such as Armenia and Georgia, the POD is no Islam since the Bagrationis have existed before Islam.

They did exist before Islam as a noble family, but they gained prominence as leaders of the revolt against the Caliphate. Before Islam they were just a prominent noble family in Armenia.

Armenian nobles did supply Byzantine emperors, but the cultural gulf between Armenia and Persia was a wide one even before Islam, because Armenia Christianized very early, while Persia was firmly Zoroastrian. It's hard to see Persia at any point, before or after Islam, accepting a Christian king, even one not beholden to Constantinople, and Armenia isn't big enough to make a conquest stick without support from other places in the empire. And likewise, Armenia wouldn't be too happy being ruled by Zoroastrians, and a Bagrationi convert to Zoroastrianism would deprive himself of his power base in Armenia.

It probably requires a Bagrationi in Sassanid Persia to recieve land elsewhere in Persia than Armenia, grow in prominence there, and eventually have descendants form a royal dynasty. But such a process means no real union with Armenia or Georgia or anything else we associate with the family, apart from the name.

Is it possible for the Bagrationis in Persia to start a Christianization of Persia.
