Bad Decisions Made by King John

If King John (1166-1216) hadn't made so many mistakes, what would have happened?

What are some of the bad decisions he made, and how could he have fixed them?

Not saying he would have been an earth-Shattering ruler, just that he could have had a bright idea or two.

I think killing Arthur of Brittany and imprisoning Eleanor of Brittany, I think the better solution would be dividing the Angevin Empire.

With Arthur?Good chance he will use his new domains to invade England a few years down the line.
I actually think the best solution is for Constance of Brittany to have a son with Ranulf or Guy in that way he can marry off Eleanor of Brittany for an alliance with Portugal, that is basically what he planned prior to marrying Isabel of Angouleme, he was supposed to marry a Portuguese princess, then he can kill off Arthur.
