Backwards Flag Challenge #1

This is just like your friendly neighborhood Map challenge. except that I give you the POD and you create the map. Sound good? Great! Let's getting going. Your challenge is to create a flag for a truely Bolshevic Mexico. In this TL America's worst fears have become reality, and their southern neighbors have become Commies.

Alright.. heres my try at the flag of the Federal Peoples Republic of Mexico, based off the Mexican flag and the Bulgarian Communist COA, with elements borrowed from the Second Imperial Flag. I also have a large version of the COA, if you want that.

the spade/shovel of the roofers and the rake/pitchfork of the farmers. Black is the gunpowder of revolution, red is the people, and brown is the dirt on which the people labor.

Just a technicality, but if it were in Spanish would the initials on the flag be "FPRM"? I would think something more along the lines of "RFGM" or "RFPM."

La Republique Federal de la Gente (or las Personas) del Mexico.

I'm not sure if "people" in this context would be "la gente" or "las personas"

But cool design anyway.

Yes, I forgot that whole "Mexico Speaks Spainish" thing  Perhaps it's from the TL where Spain speaks English for some reason :p

Heres a fixed (Going with Republique Federal de las Personas del Mejico) National Symbol..

I like your design Imajin because it still uses the precolumbian Aztec eagle/cactus/snake symbols..which would probably be featured more in a Communist Mexico. There is also no reason a Communist Mexico would not use the revolutionary Mexican tricolor. Leo's looks cooler, but is probably less likely.

The problem with yours is that it makes no reference to previous Mexican national colors or symbols which have historically been used in Mexican nationalist and revolutionary movements. It is thus very unlikely to become the flag of a revolutionary Mexico.

The design is pretty cool, but it looks to me more like something one might find on an African flag.

Hi to everyone. I'm new to the forums and this is my first forum reply, so I hope my information to be useful enough. :)

Based on the initials from Nicole's revised coat of arms, the proper official name for communist Mexico in Spanish would be República Popular Federal de México, which stands for Federal People's Republic of Mexico.
