I think the influence of Objectivism might get overstated, as a result of numerous big-names being associated with the movement, and people then assuming that that means they were implementing Objectivist policies.
Alan Greenspan, for example, identified as an Objectivist, but I don't think Objectivism per se had much impact on his economic policies at the Fed, even if those were the kind of policies that Objectivists would support.
