Avignon Papacy More Like Anglicanism?

What if the Avignon Papacy was more like Anglicanism; ending with France no longer answering to the Vatican but rather, Avignon?

Not sure I understand the question: that's what the Avignon papacy was. All Catholics answered to Avignon at the time because that's where the Pope lived, just like how today the Catholics answer to the Vatican.

I think the meaning of the OP was France still having an anti-pope in Avignon that they followed. Essentially the Western schism ends with the exception of France.

That's exactly what I meant; France still following the anti-popes in Avignon.

Well, I think the problem is that France has always been a useful ally to the Papacy, because of their mutual quarrels with the HRE. Since Rome really relies on France's support, they can't afford not to refuse the demands they got with the Concordat.

Maybe if the Papacy somehow fell into Imperial dominance, then France might resort to schism.

Allow me to add--despite what people imagine, France dropped Avignon pretty early in the schism, even though it didn't officially back the Urban line.
