Earth Prime
Wilsonville, Oregon
3:48 AM
The Black and White Lykan Hypersport zoomed through the dark suburbs. In the backseat the wheel of the flashy sports car were a man and a woman, names classified, in dark tuxedos and armed with concealed handguns. Behind the wheel was 16 year old Penn Heron, a local boy, IQ 176.
"Take the exit at Coffee Creek," the woman's voice was firm and serious.
Penn nodded and looked in the rear view. "That's it, right?" He pointed toward the warehouse at the side of the road.
She only smiled, and checked her handgun, a Vektor Cp1.
The car slowly turned toward the warehouse.
"Hurry, before they see us!" The man urged.
As they neared the warehouse, the garage was opened to two masked people . Penn parked the car and jumped out. The garage shut behind him. The two people, now revealed to be an about 50 year old man and a Vietnamese woman. They ushered him toward a hatch in the ground, which a passerby could confuse with the entrance to a bunker. "Go in," the Vietnamese woman said an nudged Penn toward the hatch. He opened it and jumped in.
To his surprise, he was in an elevator! The sides were glass, but all he could see was dirt. Then, he could barely keep himself from fainting! He looked out over an expanse of machines, workers and the centerpiece.
The apparatus.
He felt the cold air as the door slid open.
A girl, no much older than 13, shook his hand. "It's time to go to Earth 2."
