Autobahn / Tunnel Calais to Dover

Hello,
after playing a wargame last night I had a very crazy thought. The Autobahn / Tunnel Calais - Dover, built during WWII.

We all know that the german Fighters had not enough range (after reeaching London they had only a few minutes for dogfighting and than had to break off) and any pilot shot down over England was lost to the Luftwaffe.

So what about the following two ideas:

Basic assumptions:
After winning in France (Dunkirk happens) the leadership of the Luftwaffe realizes the two disadvantages (see above) and tells Hitler there is no way of winning the Battle of Britain.

So, the Wehrmacht clears an area at the coast of Cap Griz-Nez southwest of Calais of all civilians and resettles them near Paris or another coastal town(no one is killed).

Then a highway of about 3 miles wide is lined with lots of AA guns. And behind that a lot of artillery is assembled.

A) Then the coastal area is dynamited and 8 railroadtracks and conveyor belts are brought to the area.

So the railroad brings rocks and other material and via conveyor belts and earthmoving machines this material is dumped into the sea.

Now the British RAF and Navy have to come to the Axis side. But this time the advantage is with the Axis as they have already lots of AA guns and artillery positioned (I even think of this big german gun that was used in Sevastopol, that needed two railtracks).

This lane would be aimed at the coast somewhere between Folkestone and Dungeness.

How would the british react? Would they use Bomber Command against this site? What about the sites, where the material for this road would come from? Would they be targetted by Bomber Command?

B) What if the Wehrmacht would dig a tunnel with the same precautions?

What do you think?
