I am stubling over a huge question in the timeline I am currently writing.
What if there was a Civil war between Austria and Hungary in the 1890s?
Rough plot:
Eduard Taafe succeeds in enacting a limited election law in the Austrian half. So everybody could vote, although not equally. The Hungarian goverment opposes the law, but people are still demanding something similar, so a big unrest is created especially in minority dominated regions like Croatia. The unrest turns to demonstrations and finally the Hungarians send in the Honved to put them down.
I am very unsure what the neighboring countries and superpowers would do, so please HELP!
