Austria and Britain make up 1777

So during my reading, I've taken notice of the War of the Bavarian Succession, and Austria being refused help from France which was then interfering in the American Revolutionary War.

After the unpleasantness of the Seven Years War, Britain and Austria were no longer friends. But given the situation, might Austria send out feelers to the British government? Sort of, I'll help you with the Americas if you help me with Prussia and we'll see where that leads.

Would Britain accept? What happens to the Americans? Will the French Revolution start years earlier? Can Austria get Silesia and/or Bavaria, or will Britain just use the Austrians to distract France and then 'forget what they were doing'?

The thing is Austria can't really help in America outside of distracting france which while that's great for Britain it also means fighting France and risking a Prussian intervention aswell (although I'm unsure what what condition they are in to do so at the time)
Basically Austria would be risking alot just to get in Britain's good books.
Too much risk not enough reward.

This could be an interesting idea. If Britain definitively offers Austria support over Bavaria then Vienna might be willing to play the the role of continental enemy to France and pin the French army in Europe. But London would have to offer absolute backing over Bavaria and some backing over a fourth Silesian war. The major issue is the Empress; I doubt Maria Theresa would want to wage war on her daughter or reestablish an alliance with perfidious Albion. You'd need the Empress to die early or for the Revolutionary war to drag on a bit longer, enough for Josef and George/North to come to an agreement. Personally I think the former is easier to work with.

Britain’s absolute backing means nothing. It likely has the worst reputation when it came to supporting its’ allies in the 18th century.Britain can barely fight her own wars, let alone offer any material help to the Austrians. The Austrians would be fools to fall for it.

I don't think Prussia cares enough to intervene if Austria put pressure on France. So they are risking just to get in Britain's good books, but it's not as much risk as you think. Except...

The queen is from their family. Oh yeah... that might have something to do with it.

The only thing they could offer the British without attacking their own kin is money to put down the rebels. Britain wasn't actually 100% defeated OTL and could have raised another army if they wanted to spend all that money. But Austria isn't a rich nation. It says something that as late as the 1500s the Kingdom of Croatia gave more to the Hapsburg monarchy than Austria outside the personal demesne. So they don't have money to spare either. In fact, in the war of Austrian Succession, the British threw money down their throat because Austria's tax base could only afford a third of the army during a wartime footing.
