Australian aboriginals developing agriculture

Okay timeline, but i was thinking of australian aboriginals in the north eventually going on to develop trade with asia after they develop agriculture.

I've had the same idea. Jared suggested Australian rice as the northern staple crop. Depending on the time/place of domestication, the Aborigines could pick up boatbuilding and navigation from Austronesian visitors, Sri Lankan visitors or develop it themselves.

It would be interesting to see australianisation of certain parts of indonesia instead of indianisation. That depends on when they develop shipbuilding.

I thought of Australian civilizations adopting Hinduism, Buddhism and maybe eventually Islam, but the idea of them developing a prosletyzing religion (like they do in Lands of Red and Gold) and spreading it to Indonesia is pretty cool.

You should probably read that timeline, and start doing research on the challenges of Australian agriculture if you want to write your own timeline.
