Aurelian the restorer of the world

So Aurelian rules for 15 to 20 years, vs 4. He was a reformer and truly brought the empire back together. He conquered the palymerian empire back into the Roman Empire. Did not kill Zenobia but gave her estates in Rome. Conquered the Gallic empire and pardoned its emporor and made him a governor in Rome. He had the army behind him and was a reformer in civic issues.

Could he have reformed and brought the government together for a longer Roman Empire?

I don't think I know enough of the period to comment.
But the split of the empire is probably a sign of the difficulties of governing by one person.
Any reform would probably need that taken into account.

Had he lived longer there would be no succession problems and the Crisis of the Third Millinum would’ve ended a little earlier. He would be an early Diocletian, probably made some similar reform choices.

I believe he could have, had he lived longer. Also his predecessor Claudius Gothicus might have had the ability to restore the Empire as well, he did a huge amount in the 16 months he was Emperor, paving the way for Aurelian's accomplishments.

A short Youtube video providing an overview of the Crisis of the Third Century:

He had done a good job with the reforms of the monetary system (i did not realize how bad it was -- ie issued new coin with 5% silver as a new standard), and the religious system. he had started to crack down on corruption and was getting ready for monetary reform.
Considered a hard ass but i find it interesting how he handled the reintegration of the Gallic empire and saved the fake emperor there. So with the capital gained from the conquests in the east and west he had a great opportunity for reforming the empire. The Persians were in crisis (he was heading east for an invasion of Persia) and he had defeated the tribes both at the Rhine and the Danube. So stability in side and out side the empire were in great shape.
1. Victories over the tribes
2. Persia weak
3. Monetary reform in place
4. Religious stability

Now he needed a stable gov to pass on and minimize future civil wars
