Auerbach's Lamentation

Considering that I spend most of my time here, I gues it's only fair to inform the board about yet another TL attempt of mine: It's here.
It's likely to be as slowly made as everything else I do.

Let's have a rough breakdown:
- Francis I (II) does agree to a reformation of the HRE (historically, both Sweden and the UK were for it, but he was dead set against)
- The empire tatters on until the revolution of 1852 reforms it into an unrecognizable constitutional empire (which future historians tend to call the "Greater German" empire, as it encompasses both Prussia and Austria-Bohemia, including Alsace-Lorraine, Sleswig-Holstein, and Limburg)
- The subsequent european war reshapes the continent, leading to the formation of the Paneuropean League (which is sometimes called the "New HRE")
