A timeline about wrestling
May 23, 1999. Kemper Arena in Kansas City.
WWF's PPV for May, Over the Edge, is taking place. Next up, Owen Hart is set to face the Godfather for the Intercontinental Championship. Owen Hart had returned to his "Blue Blazer" alter ego after seemingly "quitting" the WWF in 1998. The Hart's were basically the Second Family of the WWF, after the McMahons. Besides Owen, there was Bret "Hitman" Hart, a fan favorite in the WWF before he left for rival WCW in 1997, but not before the infamous Montréal Screwjob. Married into the Hart family was probably the most famous foreign WWF wrestler, Davey Boy Smith, known by his ring name the British Bulldog.
WCW and WWF were engaged in the "Monday Night Wars" for the past few years, with WCW leading WWF throughout 1996 and into 1997 due to their nWo angle, but WWF has been catching up and beating WCW every Monday night since late October 1998. The Wars had made wrestling into the next big thing in North American sports.
Now back to Owen Hart.
The Blue Blazer was a superhero of sorts, and it was originally planned to lower him from the rafters to the squared circle. However, during practice runs, Hart felt uneasy and told WWF that he had planned on making his entrance normally.

That night in Kansas City, Owen Hart had beaten the Godfather to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship, making it the third time Hart had won the Intercontinental Championship. Then the Undertaker and the Ministry of Darkness took down Stone Cold Steve Austin to capture the WWF Championship.

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are having a great holiday season this year, and keeping safe and warm! Over the past 3 months have become a fan of the WWE and the history of the industry. Going through, I didn't find many WWF/E or wrestling timelines on this website. So I've decided to take this chance. The POD here is that Owen Hart does not die at Over the Edge (he had fallen from 80 feet in the air during his "superhero" entrance) and lives. I am looking forward to see new timeline turns out! Merry Christmas everyone!
