So, during the 430s before the Hunnic Invasion of the West the Huns battled with the Sassanids in Armenia, supporting a rebellion against the Sassanids in the kingdom. The Huns and Armenians were defeated so the Huns turned westward.

The Sassanids at this time was ruled Bahram V, at the time of the Hunnic Invasion the Hephallites were also invading in the northeast but Bahram managed to secure peace and turn westward to deal with the Huns as they progressed into the region.

If Bahram is muddled by the Hephalites the Huns could break out of Armenia and possibly get into Western Iran.
